About Barbara Miles

My life is like a divided highway. On one side of the median, I operate Mile's End Farm, an equestrian center that has two locations. Our headquarters are in Sterling, Massachusetts, and our winter quarters are in Loxahatchee, Florida. We offer quality boarding, training of both horse and rider, and sales of hunter/jumper/event horses. On the other side of the highway I'm a writer. My first novel, Connor, has recently been published, and the postproduction phase of the book is gearing up and consuming an ever-increasing allotment of time. I have also been doing research for my next book, which I began writing while in Florida last winter. The median strip, which connects both sides of the road, represents my home life, the center of which is my husband, Steve. Our many years together have gradually transformed our home into a happy menagerie. We share it with 3 dogs, 4 parakeets, 2 love birds, and our African Grey Parrot, Kibo.
